How do you fish in Knight Online?

  1. Get a rod: the basic one, Rods, is on the Sundries list for 100,000 Noah. The Golden Fishing rod comes from a voucher (see below).
  2. Collect bait: Rainworm. Its tooltip says "Materials necessary for fishing", and it drops while mining.
  3. Take your weapon off and equip the rod. Both rods need level 35.
  4. Go to a fishing spot and wait for "Space bar to start fishing." on screen.
  5. Press Space. You get "Preparing to fish." first, then "On fishing." while the attempt runs.
  6. Out of bait you get "No Earthworm.", and a worn-out rod gives "Durability of fishing rod becomes 0."; both stop you.

Since Rainworms come from mining, fishing and mining go together. At the May 19, 2022 maintenance on the Turkish servers (USKO), NTTGame fixed an issue where Rainworms didn't drop while mining. Where to get a pickaxe and where to dig is in Mining guide.

Where do you fish in Knight Online?

The game's own quest text puts the fishing spots near the camp tied to each nation's home castle: Raon Camp for Karus and Doda Camp for El Morad. Both camps are on the warp gate list, for levels 35–83 at 10,000 Noah.

If you're by the water and still get "This is not a fishing area.", you're not on a fishable stretch of shore, so move a bit. "Fishing and mining are not available in this channel." means fishing is switched off on that channel; change channels.

Don't confuse this with Knight Online Fishing Float Material quest: requirements and reward: despite the name, it's a trade quest where you bring Apples of Moradon to Berret in Moradon, no rod or fish involved.

Where do you get a Golden Fishing Rod?

The Golden Fishing rod comes from a voucher. The current store description lists the Golden Fishing Rod under EXP Premium; see Knight Online Premium types: what EXP, DC, WAR, Gold and Platinum give. [Vendor] Kaira in Moradon (834, 588) turns the Golden Fishing Rod Voucher into the rod, and per the in-game exchange dialogue the Golden Fishing Pole lasts 30 days.

The "[Reward for Maintenance] Golden Fishing Rod Exchange Coupon (1 day)" handed out as maintenance compensation is a separate coupon: its tooltip says [Peddler] Iruta swaps it, not Kaira, and asks you to use it after your existing items run out. NTTGame has never explained how the two rods differ; both have the same level requirement.

What does "Fishing has been failed" mean? Fishing messages

The game names whatever you're missing in its own message. "Fishing has been failed." is none of those: if your rod, bait and spot are fine, the attempt simply came up empty, so press Space again.

What can you catch? Knight Online fishing drops

NTTGame has never published a fishing reward list. It isn't officially documented; players say fishing mostly gives EXP Flash, DC Flash and War Flash. NTTGame's Turkish notices haven't listed any fishing change since 2022 either; the last related note is the 2022 Rainworm fix.

In our view fishing isn't a main Noah source. With no official loot table, don't build a farming plan around it; if you already have the Golden Fishing rod from EXP Premium and you're stacking Rainworms from mining, treat it as a side activity.

What level do you need to fish?
Both rods need level 35. The Raon Camp and Doda Camp warps also start at level 35 on the gate list.
Where do you get Rainworms?
They drop while mining. [Miner] Jaro in Moradon hands out your first pickaxe for free.
