Which languages does Knight Online support?

Two: English and Turkish. The Steam store lists both, with full audio for each. Announcements for the Turkish servers (USKO) come out in Turkish, while the Steam version (SteamKO) posts its news in English.

How do you change the language in Knight Online? Step by step

  1. Close the game completely first; the language is set before you log in.
  2. Run Option.exe from the game's install folder. On USKO that's for example C:\NTTGame\KnightOnlineEn; if you can't find it, the path is in our Option settings guide.
  3. The Language box in the bottom-right corner of the window has two choices, English and Turkish. Tick the one you want.
  4. Save Changes and Start launches the game in the new language. OK only saves the choice, and the game uses it next time you open it.

What if the language doesn't change?

  • Make sure you opened the right Option.exe. If you have both USKO and SteamKO installed, each has its own folder and its own settings; change the language in the folder of the version you play.
  • If you changed it while the game was running, close the game, reopen Option.exe and check that your choice is still ticked. The game reads it on the next launch.
  • If you get an error logging in with Turkish selected: NTTGame ran into this once and fixed it in the February 7, 2019 maintenance. If it happens again, log in with English and report it on the NTTGame support site.
  • If a login warning still makes no sense, our list of login and connection error messages explains each one.

How do you change the language on SteamKO?

The Steam version uses the same Option.exe. To open its folder, right-click Knight Online in your Steam library and choose Manage > Browse local files. The phone authentication screen you get on your first login has its own language picker in the top-right corner: English, Türkçe or Español.

FAQ

Do I need a language patch?
No. Both languages are built into Option.exe. Don't replace game files with patches from the internet; installing from NTTGame's official download is all you need: Knight Online download and install.
Does changing the language affect my character or items?
No. The choice is written to the Option.ini file in the game folder; it doesn't touch your account, characters or items, so you can switch as often as you like.
