How do you link an item?

  1. Open chat or a whisper window.
  2. Hover over the item in your inventory, VIP storage or Magic Bag.
  3. Hold Shift and right-click it; the link lands in your text line.
  4. Hit send.

With both chat and a whisper open, the link goes to the one you used last. Linked the wrong thing? Backspace removes it.

How do you check an item someone linked?

Click the link in chat and the item's full tooltip opens. The text color and font in that tooltip change with the item's grade.

Selling something? Drop the link instead of a screenshot; buyers click it and see the stats.

Can you link a Cypher Ring?
No, Cypher Ring doesn't support item links.
Can you link items from the inn?
The announcement only lists inventory, VIP storage and Magic Bag; inn storage isn't on it. Pull the item into your bag first.
The link went to the wrong window. What now?
Backspace it out, type or click in the window you want, then Shift + right-click the item again.
