How do you upgrade accessories in Knight Online?

  1. Go to the Magic Anvil next to Charon in Moradon and open the accessory compound window.
  2. Put in 3 of the same accessory at the same grade: 3 × +0 make a +1, 3 × +1 make a +2, 3 × +2 make a +3.
  3. Place an Accessory Compound Scroll in the material slot.
  4. Confirm; the fee is taken in Noah and the 3 accessories become one accessory a grade higher.

Per the in-game help, Scroll Merchant Charon next to the Magic Anvil in Moradon sells the compound scroll for Noah, and it can also drop from monsters. Sealed accessories can't be compounded; the game says 'Sealed items cannot be upgraded'. Lift the seal first.

What scroll do you need and how much does it cost?

The scroll is the Accessory Compound Scroll, priced at 50,000 Noah in game. The fee is where the game contradicts itself: the FAQ says compounding unique accessories costs 200,000 Noah on top of the scroll, while the help window says 2 million Noah. Carry at least 2 million Noah when you go. The table works it out both ways.

Can accessories burn? Accessory upgrade rates

According to the game's FAQ, unique accessories succeed 100% of the time up to +3; above that it's a set chance, and a fail eats the accessories and the scroll. The help window says the same: +1 to +3 unique accessories are 100%, other items can be destroyed on a fail. Since the Accessory Compound Scroll stops at +3 anyway, normal accessory upgrading never burns. NTTGame hasn't announced any other rate.

On earrings and rings every grade raises AC and the main stat together; accessories like Amulet of Strength, Red Dragon Necklace and Belt of Strength only get their first AC at +1. The biggest jump is at +3: Platinum Earring gains 4 AC at +1 and at +2, then 7 AC from +2 to +3 (28 → 35). In the table HP and MP are stat points, while Max HP and Max MP are flat health and mana.

Which accessories can be upgraded? What about old accessories?

Per the game's FAQ, the accessories you can compound are gold unique accessories, except event ones like Tester Ring and Christmas Cross. Accessories whose names start with 'Old' say they're too old to combine with other accessories, so old accessories can't be upgraded; convert them to normal ones first (Knight Online old accessories: list, stats and whether converting pays off).
