How do you upgrade items in Knight Online?
- Click the Magic Anvil next to Charon in Moradon and pick Upgrade Item.
- Drop in the item and a scroll that matches its class. Add a helper like Trina's Piece or Blessing of Logos if you want.
- Hit Preview to see the stats the item gets if the upgrade lands.
- Hit Confirm. The game warns "The item might be destroyed while performing the upgrade"; after you accept, you get either "Item upgrade succeeded" or "Item upgrade failed".
According to the official game guide, each scroll is used up in one attempt, and the in-game FAQ adds that putting in more than one scroll has no extra effect. Rented items, sealed items and duplicated items with the same serial number can't be upgraded.

What does each upgrade scroll do?
The notes below come from each item's in-game description. Low, middle, high class and unique items use separate scrolls; if the scroll doesn't fit the item, you get "The items required for upgrade does not match".

Armor goes on the same anvil. Enchant Scroll adds STR, HP, DEX, INT or MP bonuses to armor and Immune Scroll adds resistance; Reduce Scroll lowers an item's requirements and Elemental Scroll adds flame, ice, lightning or poison damage to a weapon. Per the official guide, once an item has Reduce or Elemental on it you can't add another attribute, but you can keep upgrading it.
What are the upgrade rates? When does an item burn?
NTTGame has never published upgrade success rates. Rate tables you see around are player estimates with no link to the actual results. The only guaranteed numbers: 100% up to +5 with Trina's Piece, 100% up to +7 with the Blessed Item Upgrade Scroll, and a sure success up to +7 with Logos' Blessing Scroll. Every other attempt can destroy the item, including Reduce, Elemental, Enchant and Immune attempts.
The one item that stops burning is Blessing of Logos. Its description says the item won't be destroyed on a fail but can still drop a grade, and it can't be used together with Trina or Tears of Karivdis. During the 1–15 September 2026 Power Up Store event on the Turkish servers (USKO), NTTGame gave one untradable Blessing of Logos for every 24,000 NPoints spent, up to 2.
How much does +1 add? Raptor as an example
High class weapons come out of chests and exchanges as +1. Here is Raptor's attack and STR requirement from +1 to +10; up to +6 each upgrade adds 6 attack, then it speeds up.

The jumps are 8 attack at +7, 12 at +8 and 18 at +9; going from +9 to +10 adds 30 attack in one hit. That jump, plus the burn risk, is why high upgrades cost so much on the market.
What is BUS and where does it drop?
BUS is short for Blessed Upgrade Scroll: the scroll that takes high class items up to +10, described in game as having a higher success rate. No monster drop rate has been published, so there's no official answer to where it drops most. According to the in-game exchange lists, BUS can come from breaking the Black, Green and Blue Gems that drop in Juraid Mountain at the Chaos Generator in Moradon (Gem guide), from the Fragment of Arrogance, Gluttony and Rage exchanges carried by the Bifrost bosses, and from disassembling middle and high class gear. Regular upgrade scrolls are sold by Charon for Noah and drop from monsters, per the in-game help.
Where do you get Trina and Tears of Karivdis?
Both are on the Power Up Store list. Trina's Piece is also in the exchange pools of the seven Bifrost sin fragments, and some premium types include it as a gift; see Knight Online Premium types: what EXP, DC, WAR, Gold and Platinum give for which premium gives what.
How does reverse (REB) upgrading work?
High class and unique items say "Reverse Changeable Item" in their description. Reverse Scroll turns such an item into a reverse item, and Reverse Item Strengthen Scroll raises its reverse level; Tears of Karivdis boosts that attempt. A failed reverse attempt has a low chance to give an Evil Ingot. If you want out of reverse, the Rebirth Restoration Scroll turns the item back into a normal upgrade item; it doesn't work on unsealed items.
