How much is the market tax in Knight Online?
The check descriptions state the cut as 3%. Players apply the same 3% to market sales too: from a 100M sale you get about 97M. Multiply your sale price by 0.97.
| Check | Value | 3% to the fund | You get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gold Check | 100M Noah | 3M | 97M |
| Platinum Check | 500M Noah | 15M | 485M |
| Mythril Check | 1B Noah | 30M | 970M |
Checks are cashed by [Grand Merchant] Assistant in Moradon. There are also Untradable versions; the untradable Mythril Check can't be used at Akara's Altar.
What is the Merchant Union Fund?
The Merchant Union Fund is where the cuts go. The game periodically announces "Winners of Merchant Union Fund", and the fund is paid out to those who contributed to the Merchant Union. You claim fund rewards through the NPC's "Exchange [Merchant Association Fund]" menu.
Other costs of running a merchant
- Registering items in a selling merchant costs coins; the game shows how many when you register.
- A buying merchant has an hourly coin fee.
- You can't open a shop on channel 1; switch channels.
- If you haven't verified your account on the game website, merchant and trade are locked; accounts with a trade restriction can't open one either.
- If your Noah is at the cap you can't sell; spend some Noah first.
Moradon and Delos tax rate
Whoever controls Moradon and Delos can adjust the area's tax rate, and the collected tax is taken in coins. The rate can only be changed on channel 1. This tax is separate from the 3% fund cut on checks.
