Which Knight Online premium is best?
There's no single best premium; it depends on what you do. The game's own descriptions split the packages by purpose too: EXP Premium for leveling, DC Premium for more Noah and items, WAR Premium for war. Quick picks:
- Leveling: Platinum or EXP Premium from 1 to 50 (both +400% EXP), then EXP Premium after 51 (+200% at 61–70 while Platinum stays at +100%). Details: EXP Premium features and gifts.
- Farming: DC Premium; +100% Noah, +12 NP and 30 Magic Hammers. Comparison: Best premium for farming.
- PK and NP: WAR Premium; +15 NP per kill, free reskill and restat. Details: WAR Premium features and gifts.
- Sealing your items: Gold or Platinum. The game only allows sealing on these two; Gold Premium features.
- If your week varies: Switching Premium swaps between DC, EXP and WAR. What is Switching Premium?.
- On a budget: Bronze Premium is the cheapest at 716 NPoint, with +20% EXP and 50% off repairs. Bronze Premium features.

Which premium do you need to lock (seal) items?
Gold or Platinum. On an account without premium or with another package, the seal window says: "Item Sealing/Unsealing functions are available to Gold and Platimum Premium users ONLY." Sealing also costs 1,000,000 Noah. The steps are in Knight Online item lock and account security: sealing items, the VIP password and ICS/OTP.
Can you play without premium?
Yes. Premium doesn't unlock content; it adds speed and convenience. It still makes a difference in a few places: premium owners skip the 100 Monthly NP fee to enter JR and BDW above 80, premium replaces the 50 Ladder Point requirement in Ultima's Dungeon, and without SMS approval premium still opens the market and trade. How to buy and activate it is in How to buy and activate premium.
