How do you lock (seal) an item in Knight Online?

  1. Go to the Inn Hostess in Moradon (Neria or Nia) or the one in your nation's castle.
  2. Open Seal / Cancel (anti-theft) and drag the item you want to lock into the window.
  3. Click the password field and enter your code on the keypad that opens.
  4. Confirm. The game reminds you it costs 1,000,000 Noah and that the item can't be traded, upgraded or destroyed until unsealed; accept and it becomes a 'Sealed item'.

Sealed items also can't be repaired or deleted; the game says 'Sealed items are not eligible for repairs' and 'Sealed items cannot be deleted'. Even if someone gets into your account, without your code they can't move a sealed item out through trade or a merchant, which is why it makes sense to keep your most valuable gear sealed. To unseal, go back to the same menu, put the item in and enter the password; at that step the game warns you to be careful on PCs used by many people.

What is the seal password and how do you set it?

With the password field empty, the seal window says 'Enter your 8 Digit Security Code', so it asks for a security code of up to 8 digits. The game also ties the password to the VIP Vault: if you never set a VIP Vault password it tells you 'There is no password set for the VIP Vault. Visit the Inn Hostess to set the VIP Vault password.' You set the 4-digit VIP Vault password by clicking the lock icon on the VIP Vault page at the Inn Hostess, and you change or remove it from the same lock.

Never share your password, security code or OTP code with anyone. Not with someone claiming to be a GM, support or a friend either; the game's own warnings also tell you to change your password regularly and not to stay logged in on the website.

I forgot my item lock password. What now?

The game asks you to reset the VIP Key on www.nttgame.com after 3 wrong VIP Key password attempts. The password window also says that after the 3rd wrong try you can't open the storage and should contact Customer Support. Open a ticket on the NTTGame support site and have details ready that prove the account is yours (sign-up date, birth date, payment history and so on).

What is the account shield? [Security] Shield and Security Tokens

NTTGame announced its 'Account Shield Improvement Program' on the Turkish servers (USKO) on April 20, 2017. In game, its counterpart is the [Security] Shield NPC in Moradon Castle (817, 524), which, in its own words, exchanges the Security Tokens sent to your account for rewards. The conditions for getting tokens haven't been restated in a recent announcement; players say tokens are sent as you turn on security services on your NTTGame account (SMS verification, OTP and so on).

ICS/OTP vs item lock: what's the difference?

An item seal protects the item; ICS/OTP protects your login. On August 21, 2020 NTTGame made ICS/OTP mandatory for its new Turkish servers; per that announcement the first setup is free and one phone number can hold 3 accounts. Registration switched to SMS confirmation in December 2025, and NTTGame said registered numbers will be asked to confirm again later, so keep them active. Setup is on the NTTGame OTP page; for login errors see Knight Online OTP error: OTP is not active, TimeSync and can't join a new server. When your ICS runs out, the game shows 'ICS service has expired' and asks you to renew it.

What are bound items and Sealed Items?

There's a second kind of 'seal': Sealed Items are spent to unbind a bound (account-tied) item. The game shows the amount in a 'Number of seal item needed to unbound' line. In the Power Up Store, a Seal Exchange Voucher turns into 10 Sealed Items at Kaira and a Medium Level Seal Exchange Coupon into 50. For example, on global USKO the Lunar War Belt became bound in November 2023, and unbinding it takes 50 Sealed Items at +0 and 350 at +3.

FAQ

Can you sell a sealed item?
No. The game says 'Sealed items cannot be traded'; lift the seal before you trade it, put it in a merchant, upgrade it or repair it.
Do you need Premium to seal items?
One of the game's messages says sealing is only for Gold and Platinum Premium users. If the seal window refuses you with that message, the Premium requirement is why.
How much Noah does sealing cost?
Sealing costs 1,000,000 Noah. If you're short on the fee, the game says 'You are short on the seal lifting fee'.
How do you claim account shield rewards?
There's no current official step list. In game you take the Security Tokens sent to your account to [Security] Shield in Moradon Castle and swap them for rewards.
What does 'ICS service has expired' mean?
Your ICS/OTP service needs renewing. The new Turkish servers opened since 2020 are closed to accounts without ICS registration.
