When is the USKO server merger, and which servers will merge?

One of the five headings on NTTGame's new server page is future mergers. The reason given is keeping the fighting uninterrupted; it doesn't say which servers or when, and NTTGame tells players to follow the announcements.

Because the line sits on the new servers' promo page, it can be read two ways: old servers merging with each other, or the new servers being combined later on. NTTGame hasn't said which it means. Below is the current picture and the 2023 precedent instead of guesses.

Which servers does USKO have today?

Four of the eight servers started fresh in 2022: Zero, Pandora, Agartha and Felis. The other four are older: Destan has kept its name since 2012, while Minark, Dryads and Oreads came out of the 2023 mergers. How did the 2023 server mergers go?

The closest precedent came right after the 2022 wave. The new servers opened on November 17, 2022, and the first merger notice came 55 days later, on January 11, 2023:

All three happened during Thursday maintenance and each was announced about four weeks ahead. NTTGame's first notice already said two more mergers were planned, and every merged group got a new name. After its merger Minark had EXP Jackpot for four weeks, and each account could claim a gift pack once from Akara's Altar.

What happens to my characters in a server merger?

The 2026 rules haven't been published. These were the 2023 rules that mattered most:

  • The 4 highest-level characters on each account moved over and the rest were deleted. On equal level the one with more EXP was chosen, then the one created first.
  • Your nation became the nation of your highest-level character.
  • Characters with the same name got a name change; whoever changed first kept the name.
  • Anything above 192 slots and 2 billion Noah in the Inn Hostess vault was deleted.
  • National treasury, kings and castle owners were reset, and the Monthly NP and Draki rankings started over.

What should you do before a merger?

  • Keep your valuable items on your 4 highest-level characters; in 2023 that's exactly what NTTGame asked players to do.
  • Count your vault: anything over 192 slots and 2 billion Noah may be lost.
  • If your name also exists on the other server, be ready for a name change.

FAQ

When is the Knight Online server merger?
No date has been announced. In 2023 each merger was announced about a month ahead, so you'll hear before it happens.
Will the new servers merge with the old ones?
NTTGame hasn't said so. The four servers opened in 2022 have stood alone for four years; the 2023 mergers only combined older servers.
Is there a server merger on SteamKO?
This announcement is for USKO. The Steam version's last merger was on December 8, 2022: What happened to SteamKO Cypher and Pathos? The Zion merger.
