What time is BDW in Knight Online?
NTTGame Turkey last announced BDW times in the June 16, 2022 update: 01:00, 12:00 and 18:00 server time. The same notes show the server clock running an hour behind Turkey (server 23:00 = Turkey 00:00). No newer BDW schedule has been published since.

The times follow server time, and NTTGame announces changes in its maintenance notes. To be safe, watch for the in-game notice and the Join prompt when the match starts.
How do you join BDW?
- At match time a Join notice with a countdown appears on screen; press Join to sign up.
- No need to bring a party: since July 2022 NTTGame builds random parties from the players who join. On the global service, since December 2025 the party forms automatically with no invite to accept, like in JR.
- According to NTTGame's description, teams are 8 players, balanced by stats and level.
- If there aren't enough players on the other side you get rejected, and winning a match with no opponents gives no chest.
What level is BDW? Level brackets
BDW was capped at level 80 for a long time, and NTTGame's info page still says 'level 20–80'. In June 2022 the cap was opened above 80 for 4 weeks after player demand, with NTTGame saying it might stay. NTTGame's 2024 global patch notes define separate rewards for level 81+ and 83/3+ winners, so characters above 80 do play BDW.
How does BDW work? Altar of Manes and points
NTTGame describes BDW as a capture-the-flag war where teamwork decides the result. According to the in-game battle messages, an Altar of Manes spawns on the map and whoever destroys it picks up a Manes piece. Turn the piece in at your own base camp to score for your side; the character carrying it is slowed down.
The score sits on screen as Karus : El Morad, and the Alt key opens points and battle status. The '~' key opens the War Board, with a separate damage and heal ranking for each group in BDW. The score needed to end the match hasn't been officially published.
- Anyone who stays in the enemy safe zone for more than 3 seconds is kicked to Moradon (global notes, December 2025).
- Rogue's Wild Advent and Warrior's Descent can be used in BDW (global notes, August 2024).
- The BDW map was renewed in February 2024, and the El Morad Inn Hostess was moved in March 2025 (global notes).

The chests aren't the reward itself: take a Red, Green or Blue Treasure Chest to [Trader] Moira in Moradon and swap it for a random item, mostly old weapons and armor pieces. The Higher Level Border Guard Reward Ascent Scroll from BDW gives +20% monster EXP for 2 hours and has worked at level 83 since June 2022. The Lower version, for levels 20–39, gives +50% for the same time.
What else is BDW good for? Coins, Puzzle and an achievement
- Coin event: the 'Complete Juraid Mountain or Border Defense War' task also counts BDW.
- Puzzle event: BDW or JR gives one puzzle piece; once you get it from one, the other won't give another.
- Achievement: there are achievements for 1, 10 and 100 BDW wins (listed in game as Nation Guard Battle). The 100-win Fortress of Defense unlocks the Impregnable title with defense +90.
