What changed in the 2629 and 2630 updates?

USKO got two client updates in the last few days: 2629 and 2630. Both brought large anti-cheat additions to XIGNCODE. NTTGame didn't post a separate notice; the update downloads by itself through the launcher. If the game asks for a patch, finish it first, and if you need a clean install, use the official download page.

Short answer

Largely yes: the 2629 and 2630 updates added anti-cheat features to XIGNCODE, and Knight Online no longer runs in virtual machines. According to the cheating scene, one of the most used AFK bots has been down for days.

Does Knight Online run in a virtual machine?

Not anymore. The game won't start in virtual machines such as VMware, VirtualBox and Hyper-V. Rented VDS and VPS servers are virtual machines too, so players who ran the game there hit the same block.

A virtual machine was a well-known way to run many clients on one PC and to hide cheat tools from XIGNCODE. For a normal player the fix is simple: run the game on a real Windows PC. If you get a XIGNCODE error on a real PC too, the steps are in Knight Online XIGNCODE3 errors and fixes.

Did USKO block cheaters? Do bots still work?

Not completely, but the cheating side has never been shaken this hard. According to players in the cheating scene, one of the most used AFK bots has been down for about 3 days, and another shows a "server under maintenance" message when it connects. A few bots shipped an update within hours and came back.

Bot users also report bans and jail time. Using koxp or bots is a permanent ban reason under USKO's rules; the penalties are in Knight Online ban policy: how long each ban lasts.

Is koxp gone on the old servers?

Not according to normal players on old servers like Destan: they say the CZ farm spots are full of koxpers and that banned players come back on a new character within minutes. OTP+ isn't required on the old servers, so starting over on a new account is easy.

Will the new servers have fewer cheaters?

The new servers open on November 12 at 16:00 Turkey time, and entry needs phone verification and OTP+ (NTTGame's pre-registration notice). The new XIGNCODE, the virtual machine block and OTP+ together make it harder for a banned player to come back on a fresh account. How well it works will show in the ban waves after launch.
