Why won't Knight Online download the patch?
There's no separate patch file to download: NTTGame's install guide says the launcher checks for a new version each time it starts. So when nothing moves, the cause is almost always outside the patch itself: maintenance, an open game or a broken client.

launcher.exe downloads the patch by itself. If it won't, check for maintenance first: no updates come during maintenance. If there's none, close every Knight Online window and reopen the launcher; if that fails, reinstall the client from NTTGame's site.
Does the patch download during maintenance?
No. The servers are down during maintenance, so the launcher can't get updates either. Maintenance is usually at night; the notice gives an estimate, but the end time is sometimes "undetermined". If the launcher won't move at night, check NTTGame's notices first. The maintenance messages are in Knight Online not starting or disconnected from server: error messages and official fixes.
The patch stops halfway
If the patch downloads but stops with "extract failed" while unpacking, the game or another client is still open. Close every window and run the launcher again; the step-by-step fix is in Knight Online extract failed error.

The launcher doesn't move or the game won't start
If there's no maintenance and the game is closed, reinstall the client. An old client may not take the current patch; a fresh install comes with the latest version. Only download the client from NTTGame's official download page; ready-made folders on other sites are old and risky.
