Knight Online keyboard shortcuts (full list)
The list comes from NTTGame's official installation guide plus the game's own tips. F10 opens the settings window today, as NTTGame's February 22, 2024 DirectX 11 notice says.

Mouse controls: targeting and camera
- Left click: selects targets, moves, picks icons and menus.
- Double click: attacks the targeted monster or enemy, follows the selected player.
- Wheel: zooms in and out; clicking the wheel flips the view 180 degrees.
- Hold right click and drag: rotates the camera.
- Ctrl: turns on item comparison; the in-game tip reads "Enable Comparison by pressing the 'Ctrl' Key."
The key that confuses people most is F9: hit it by accident and the angle changes, which can make mouse movement awkward. The game's help FAQ says there are four focus points; keep pressing F9 until you're back on the view you like.
How do you set up the skill bar? Quickslot
Open the skill window with K and drag skills onto the bar. On February 22, 2024 NTTGame added quick hotbar editing on top of that:
- Click the Quickslot button in the skill window.
- Pick an empty bar and click Edit.
- Drag skills from K and potions or items from I; rename the bar with Name Change if you like.
- Click Save. Reset wipes the bar.
- Select a saved bar and hit the apply button to switch to it instantly.
Note the warning at the top of the window: "Quickslot is saved on the personal PC." Your layout lives on that computer, so on another PC you may need to rebuild your bars. Setting the slot count to 0 hides the bars completely. NTTGame also noted the feature may not work in some dungeons and events.
Knight Online chat commands and prefixes
Press Enter to open the chat line. The symbol at the start of your message picks the channel: @ whisper, ! shout, # party, $ clan, & alliance. The commands come from the game's own list:

Are macros allowed in Knight Online?
No, auto-key or auto-mouse programs are banned in game. Under NTTGame's rules of conduct, macro software or hardware gets you the discipline dungeon plus a timed suspension, and a permanent ban on repeat; the full penalty list is in Knight Online ban policy: how long each ban lasts.
The game's own protection looks for them too: it closes the program with "Auto Mouse program detected." or "Auto Keyboard program detected.". The official way to automate attacks, support and potions in game is Knight Genie: Knight Genie settings: attack, support, potions and Genie Hammer. Even Genie isn't allowed everywhere; the rules list using it in JR and BDW as an offense.
Keys not working or F keys not responding: what to do
- If the chat line is open, your keys type into the message; close chat with Enter first.
- With Caps Lock on or Alt held, number keys go to pet or commander hotkeys. The game tells you with "You have entered the pet or commander related shortcut key (Caps Lock or ALT)."
- F1–F8 switch bar pages. Land on an empty page and your skills seem to vanish; press F1 to go back to the first page.
- Can't remove a skill from the bar? The lock is on: "You have to cancel 'Lock' function to remove skill on Hot Key Window."
- Alt+Tab may not work in full screen; if you switch windows a lot, play in window mode (Knight Online Option.exe settings: full screen, resolution and window mode).
